Research on the definition of arts and crafts.

-Arts and crafts comprise a whole host of activities and hobbies that are related to making things with one's own hands and skill. These can be sub-divided into handicrafts or "traditional crafts" (doing things the old way) and the rest.

Define handicrafts.

-Handicraft, also known as craftwork or simply craft, is a type of work where useful and decorative devices are made completely by hand or using only simple tools. Usually the term is applied to traditional means of making goods.

Give two examples to each type of arts and crafts.

Crafts involving textiles

· Curve stitching

· Weaving

Crafts involving wood, metal or clay

· Sculpture

· Marquetry

Crafts involving paper or canvas

· Decoupage

· Quilling or Paper Filigree

Crafts involving textiles

Ø This is the kind of crafts which the materials are mainly of natural or synthetic fibers. Textiles refers to woven fabrics and include knitted, bonded, felted, and tufted fabrics as well.

Crafts involving wood, metal or clay

Ø This kind of craft uses the following materials in making handicrafts: wood, metal and clay. Metal is a chemical element displaying certain properties by which it is normally distinguished from a nonmetal. While clay is a common name for a number of fine-grained, earthy materials that become plastic when wet.

Crafts involving paper or canvas

Ø This is the kind of craft which uses papers or canvas(strong, coarse cloth of cotton, flax, hemp, or other fibers, early used as sailcloth) to form a product which is so-called craft. A perfect example of this kind of craft is the origami.

Crafts involving plants

Ø This type of craft uses plants to make crafts. Some parts of plants are being used to produce a product. Example of this is corn dolly making which is a form of straw work associated with harvest customs.

Hello sa lahat..Before anything else, congratulations pala sa lahat ng ogilvianz..we did a very good job..hope we will continue to soar high..lol..

Last, last night, I was awaken by a dream. My dream was that my name was called in the first honors list. I was so happy at the same time I was astonished. I immediately woke up and suddenly a tear fell in my eye. I know that it is rare for a dream to come true that is why I lost my hope to be in the first honors list. It is not that I am ambitious just like other people but it is an achievement to be a first honor. Being a first honor could help you strive harder and to continue getting high grades. The pressure in the first section is not easy as those with the regular sections. High expectations like we must be intelligent, to have a high grade and to be a model among all second years are really expected from us. While I was in my bed, thinking of that wierd and impossible dream, it came to my senses that in order to be in the first honor, you must strive harder than before, which I knew that I am not doing it. After how many days have passed, it was still bothering me. When I received the news that our cards will be given today, I was so nervous that caused me to have a headache.lol. Sir Mheng entered the room and all of was so obviously nervous. When he announced the first honors, I didn't expect that much because also of my dream last, last night. Suddenly, my name was called and I was so shocked and at the same time happy. Thank you lord for the continuous guidance and strength that you have given upon me. That's all folks. tee_cee

A dream that will never come true...

The place was dark. Noises of birds were heard. Fresh breeze of air entered the window. A strange silence invaded his room. In a room full of hatred,fear,anger and silence lived a boy who was relinquished by his parents. A boy who longed to be caged in his own room and be free from the voices of crowd. Depression led him to discover who really is he. He was confused and bothered with so many questions and aimed to find the answers for his problem. His mind was so puzzled. He looked like he was thinking of something accompanied by a face of anger and hatred. Tears fell down in his eyes and he started to murmur. It was like he wanted to express his feelings but he couldn't. Still, the place was silent and the breeze of air became more cool. Soon, dried leaves entered his room and messed it up.

He got his blanket and soon tear it. His emotions forced him to do it. He was so depressed and ignored the knock in his door. It did not took long for him to control his anger and soon shouted loud. The place remained silence and suddenly a voice was heard at his front.

This voice was..was..was..his DIRECTOR!cut daw kasi may mali siya...nakalimutan niya yung linya niya...sayang talaga..ok na sana iyon...tsk3...

BoRing man..wala tlga akong maicp na magandang gawin..pwera yung pag-aaral sa rel..maya pa me gabi mag-aral sa religion..and since wala talaga me magawa, I've decided to compose a new post sa blog ko..actually bored lang talaga ako..uhmmm..anu ba ang gnwa ko dis day?ahhh!una,late na ako gumising. Hindi ako nakapagbreakfast dahil hul morning me ngcomputer..Late na rin ako naglunch..After dat, pumunta me sa fave site ko..Hindi ko na po sasabihin kung anong site iyon..Ginawa ko na rin yung sa filipino ko para hindi sayang oras kahit sinasayang ko na..~~getch?!~~

Napansin ko rin na dis past few days, lahat ng mga ogilvianz ay galit or naiinis and I know kung kanino sila galit..classmate rin namin siya..hahahaha..want a clue?lalake siya..syempre, kasali na doon si Dyan! Yung mga iba din, feel nila na may galit sa kanila kasi hindi na raw cla pinapansin..imagine?!dahil lang dun, nagpaparinig na sila sa mga group messages nla..Grbe tlga ang life noh..ndi mo tlga masasabi kung kailan ka magiging happy or kung kailan ka magiging sad..

Ngayon naman, sinayang ko ulit yung time ko..Whole day me nagchat and masakit na talaga mata ko..Red na..lolz..Got to go na po..don't forget to leave a comment sa ~~tagboard~~ ko ha..tenchu..tee_cee!

Every year, there is a certain day which I always wait and sometimes I wish that it must not be included in the calendar. This fave day of mine yet the worst day also of mine is the Valentine's day. Early in the morning, my parents were teasing me about the gift that I will give to my crush. Hahahaha. I was so shy because the truth is, I already planned to give her a present for Valentines. When I was preparing to go to school, I was bothered if I shall give her a gift or not. I already knew that a lot of boys will going to give her a gift, I mean a lot of boys. At last, I am already in school but the fear and confusion were still there. My bestfriend already decided to buy flowers for her crush and he was forcing me to buy flowers for her but I refused to do it. He didn't knew what was my plan for this day because I remained to keep my mouth shut.

When my father called me through cellphone, I had the strength to tell it to him that I had a plan to give a gift to my crush. Lol. I was so nervous because it was my first time to give such a present like that. My father ordered a cake from the Myrna's Bakeshop. It was almost dismissal when my father told me that the present was already in the lobby. I hurriedly run downstairs together with my bestfriend and immediately wrote her name so that no one could see to whom I will give it. At first, I was shy to give it to her but love convinced me to do it. Hahahaha. Love?Well, the feeling was so nice when I saw her with a big smile while the crowd was teasing her about my gift. That's all folks.

A sad Valentine's Day

I thought na hapi ang valentine's day ko but it was all a dream na kailanman hndi mgkakatotoo. Did you know girls na it hurts kung sinabihan ninyo ang mga guys na you don't appreciate mga things na ginagawa niyo sa kanila? I know na some of the girls can't relate with me. For every sakit na nararamdaman ko sa love, may new things akong natututunan. I hope na sana one day kung meron pa man,makahanap na rin me ng girl na magmamahal sa akin. I know it sounds corny pero ganun talaga ang love eh. Hindi ko rin nga maisip na magiging ganito ako. Hahaha. Lolz. Nvm.

Basta ang masasabi ko lang kahit ano pa ang gawin mo para iwasan ang love,darating at darating pa rin iyon sa iyo. Maybe hindi man perpekto yung taong mahal mo but in a way he/she can be perfect kung bigyan mo lang siya ng time para ipakita ang love nito sa iyo. Ano ba itong pinagkakagawa ko?!hahahha..

I am now going to state my experience about love at this early stage of life...!

Since I was a child, I never thought that I will fall in love with a girl whom I thought that she is the one for me. Nung naging highschool na ako, inisip ko na bakit ba ang mga tao kapag mainlove sobra talaga. When I was already in second year, there was a gurl which I find pretty and it was like "love at first sight". Lagi na lang siya ang laman ng aking isip. Akala ko nga infatuation lang yun pero di naglaon love na pala iyon. Everyday ko siyang nakikita kasi naman magklasmeyt kame. Sinubukan kong minsan kalimutan siya kasi alam ko na masasaktan lang din ako sa huli pero hindi ko talaga magawa. I spend sleepless nights, felt heartbreak for the first time and lastly. i really felt the pain of love. It is so ouchy pala kung mainlove ka sa isang gurl na hindi ka naman sure kung masusuklian niya ang ipinapakita mong pag-ibig. Ngayon, unti-unti ko na siyang nakakalimutan ngunit ang alala niya ay laging nakaukit sa aking puso. It is not that easy to forget a girl whom you love so much but sometimes you need to think its consequences. Sometimes also you need to use your head and not only your heart. Mahirap kasi kapag pinagsama mo ang dalawa. Sana naman makahanap na rin ako ng isang girl na magmamahal sa akin sa kung sino man ako.

Hi guys!!!First of all,kung sino man ang makakabasa ng post na ito basahin niyo na lang po...

Ok...I'll start na po...I'm erwin. I just dreamt of having a happy family but I realized that hanggang dream na lang pala iyon. I usually encounter many problems in my life that's why for every problem that I am facing, I am just thinking of na sa bawat problema ay may solusyon. Sometimes I already want to give up but when I see that many people loves me and ready to lend their shoulders for me to cry on,I just try to forget my problem by keeping myself busy. It is not easy to have a family or which we shall say a broken family because somehow it may be cause for you to lose hope and feel worthless. Hindi ko na lang po pinapansin ang mga sinasabi ng mga tao sa akin kasi kapag ginawa ko iyon lalo lang ako masasaktan. My friends,classmates,teachers and relatives serve as my inspiration to pursue whatever I want to achieve someday. I am just beginning to grow older and be mature but it is like I have already encountered many problems,I mean a lot of problems in life. At this age, I must spent my life happily and enjoy my teenage years but because of my problems it seems that I can't do all of these. Because of these experiences, it made me more stronger and gave me hope for me to continue my life.

It is time for me now to share who really is ERWIN. Erwin is just a simple guy who just want to be happy. He just keeps himself busy by studying his lessons and doing his homeworks. Even though he had encountered many problems, Erwin does not forget Allah. For him, the reason why Allah gave those problems to him is that Allah just wanted Erwin to be strong and be active. Erwin have a lot of interests and hobbies. One of them mainly is eating. Singing also was one of his hobby. Everything that will make Erwin happy,he consider them as the good things that Allah had given him.

Maybe my story about myself and life will end up here. I hope that I can post more and I hope that you somehow knew who really is ERWIN.Thank you and have a nice day!!!
